Logistics operations produce around 10% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Most manufacturers  outsource their Logistics operations to Freight Companies and Logistics service providers (LSP’s) who manage multiple activities across the various modes of Road, Sea and Air transportation.

The challenge will be to gather primary data from the LSP’s and interpret that data correctly to deliver accurate emission scores.  Scores that can be reported with confidence and more importantly scores that can be managed and reduced.

We are faced with a significant project, a project that can not be deferred or avoided. Ship2zone, in working with the LSP community are well placed to mine the required data, our tools are based on accredited GHG protocol following the Global Logistics emission Council (GLEC) Framework.
